Ofsted and CQC Cumbria SEND Services revisit
This page it to inform Parent carers across cumbria about the Ofsted revsit outcome, as well as, providing them with the evidence we sumbitted as a forum. As a Parent Carer forum we could only comment on what we had evidence from as a cumbria wide parent voice.
About the revisit
Between 5 December 2022 and 8 December 2022, Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) revisited the area of Cumbria to inspect the Joint Area Send Provision. This revisit was to decide whether sufficient progress has been made in addressing the nine areas of significant weakness identified in the inspection report letter published on 22 May 2019.

- A lack of trust and faith in the local area’s work from too many parents and
carers.
- Weaknesses in the approach to supporting the emotional health and well-being of children and young people with SEND, particularly those with
autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who face challenges in relation to their
social, emotional and mental health.
